Health and educational outcomes for children affected by domestic abuse (CADA)

This study will provide evidence about the potential targets for specialised interventions in children affected by domestic abuse as well as to estimate effectiveness of such interventions.

The study will seek to answer the following research questions:

RQ1. What is the association between educational, health, and social healthcare outcomes in school children in England?

RQ2. Is it feasible to link individual-level data on interventions to evaluate impacts on children’s health, education, and social care outcomes?

RQ3. What is the causal effect of the different interventions on health and education outcomes in children affected by domestic abuse?

The study is being led by Professor Katie Harron and is funded by the Home Office.
